Interim
Interim policy — pending formal legal review. The controller legal entity is a placeholder for the owner to confirm. This is not legal advice.
Who we are
This site and the Rhodd beta are operated by Rhodd Foundation, the data controller. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact
privacy@rhodd.dev.What we collect
- Beta waitlist. If you join the beta, we store the email address you submit, a consent flag, and the UTC timestamp of your consent. You enter this on our own beta form, and it is saved to a private Google Sheet.
- Theme preference. A single functional value,
rhodd-theme, in your browser’slocalStorage. It remembers your light/dark choice, is never sent to a server, and is strictly necessary for that feature — so it needs no consent. - Server logs. Like any web server, the host processes standard request logs that can include your IP address, for security and operation.
What we don't do
No analytics, no tracking cookies, no third-party trackers, and no ad pixels. Fonts are self-hosted, so loading a page makes no call to a third-party CDN. We don’t sell or share your data. The one exception is our demo video: it does not load until you click play, and only then does YouTube (via its privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain) load and possibly set its own cookies — a deliberate action you choose, never on page load.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies. Because there are no non-essential cookies and no trackers, no cookie-consent banner is required — and we deliberately do not show one. The sole case where a third party may set a cookie is if you click to play the demo video, which loads YouTube on that click; declining to play it means no such cookie is set.
Lawful basis
For the beta email, the lawful basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the box on the beta form. You can withdraw consent or ask us to erase your address at any time by writing to
privacy@rhodd.dev. For server logs, the basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site. How long we keep it
We keep beta emails until the beta concludes or you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. Server logs are kept only briefly for security and operation, then discarded. The theme preference stays in your browser until you clear it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these, write to
privacy@rhodd.dev. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in Luxembourg, the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD).Changes
We will update this notice if our practices change, and revise the date at the top.
